Container Terminal, Nine Tsing Yi

The main contractor called us to find a solution to the widespread problem of rain damaged concrete over a large part of the terminal.

As well as being uneven, the concrete failed the ‘sand patch test,’ a test devised by the highways Department to determine it’s anti-skid

value. From September to December 2003, using grooving machines fitted with Tungsten Carbide blades we repaired all the damaged areas to the government standard, in time for the whole area handover.
